Applications are invited for the post of Visvesaraya Research Intern (VRI) at NITK Surathkal.
National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), also known as NITK Surathkal, formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), is a public engineering university at Surathkal, Mangalore.
It was founded in 1960 as KREC while today, it is one of the 32 National Institutes of Technology in India and is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It has a suburban campus, in close proximity to the Arabian Sea. National Highway 66 runs through the campus and serves as the major mode of access.

Project Name
“Development of Deep Learning Framework for Instance Semantic Segmentation of Histopathology and Remote Sensing Images” supported by Visvesaraya Young Research Fellow (YFRF) of Digital India Corporation, MeitY, New Delhi.
Duration
The selected candidate will be appointed initially for 3 months or till completion of the project, which is earlier.

BE/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Information Technology/Information Science Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering
OR
M.Tech./MS(R)/M.E./equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Communication Engg/Signal and Image Processing with Machine and Deep learning, and Python Coding. Candidates must have at least 6.0/10 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full time program.
Fellowship
Rs. 7,000/- (Per month)

How to Apply?
- Interested candidates must apply with the following documents: (1) Cover letter (2) Filled Application Form (3) Bio-data with passport-sized photograph, (4) Scanned copies of educational certificate and mark sheets, class XII onwards (5) Valid ID proof. The soft copies of all the above documents (pdf format) must be emailed to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Shyam Lal) on or before 16th December 2020.

- The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis co-terminus with the project. Candidates who are already employed should produce relieving certificate from their employers, if selected.
