TECH01 Asst. Engineer Pay Gr. – II Rs. 49210-2165-60035- 2280-119315

Mechanical Stream:

Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Production Industrial Engineering/ Thermal Engineering/ Mechanical & Automation Engineering.

Electrical Stream: Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Instrumentation of Control Engineering / Power System and High Voltage Engineering/ Power Electronics Engineering/ Power Engineering/ Electrical & Power Engineering.

Instrumentation Stream: Bachelors’ Degree in Electronics Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation of Control Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering/ Electronics and Power Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering from recognised University.

Reservation for Backward Class will be governed by the Maharashtra State Public Services Reservation for SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, SBC and OBCs Act, 2001 and as per the rules & regulations framed by the Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time.

Important Conditions about Selection Process

If the number of applicants are large; then a suitable criteria will be fixed to short list the applicants as per the decision of the Company.

The Online exam will include questions from Degree/ Diploma course mentioned under respective stream. The candidate is requested to take Note of the same.

For the above posts, the candidates will have to appear for Online test.

For the above posts, If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust for slight differences in difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions. More than one session are required if the nodes capacity is less or some technical disruption takes place at any center or for any candidate & Interview

Process for Arriving at Scores for the above posts The Scores of Online Examination are obtained by adopting the following procedure:

(i) Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score.

(ii) The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores*

* Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms. (iii) Testwise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal point upto two digits.

Note: Cutoffs are applied in two stages:

i. on scores in individual tests

ii. on Total Score

TECH01 Assistant Engineer 800 + GST , SC/ST/EWS : 600 + GST

TECH02 Junior Engineer 500 + GST , SC/ST/EWS : 300 + GST

Candidates selected to the post of “Assistant Engineer” & “Junior Engineer” will be given Initial training of 52 weeks as “Graduate Engineer Trainee’s” & “Diploma Engineer Trainee’s” respectively. During the training period the “Graduate Engineer Trainee’s” will be paid Stipend of Rs. 22,000/- per month and “Diploma Engineer Trainee’s” will be paid Rs. 18,000/- per month. After training, for the first 03 years selected candidate has to work compulsorily at Mahagenco’s any thermal power plant. The selected candidate must serve Bond of Rs. 5,00,000/- for not to leave the Company before completion of 5 years of service. 2. The seniority for the post of “Assistant Engineer” & “Junior Engineer” will be based on sum of Online Score in the above exam converted in 75% plus marks obtained after Initial training program by the candidate converted in 25%. The same will be consolidated and the seniority will be fixed by the O/o Chief Engineer (Technical), MSPGCL.

Knowledge of Marathi is desirable. The candidates selected and not possessing the knowledge of Marathi will have to pass Departmental Marathi Language Examination within period of three years from the date of joining the Company.
