All India Eligible  , Permanent Sarkari Naukri with Group B : 40,500 + TA + DA + HRA

Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)-vide Finance deptts. Notification no.1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016.

The examination will be held in the following branches of Engineering – i) Civil Engineering (ii) Mechanical Engineering (iii) Electrical Engineering.

The Examination will be held in two successive parts, viz., 

i) Written Examination (Multiple choice objective type questions) and (ii) Personality Test. The Written Examination will be held in Kolkata North & Kolkata South centres  thereabout followed by the Personality Test.

The Personality Test of the candidates selected on the basis of the results of the written examination will be held at the Commission’s office in Kolkata.

PAY : (PB-4) Rs.9,000-40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4,400/- besides D.A., M.A. & H.R.A. etc. admissible as per rules.

VACANCIES : The no. of vacancies in different services and posts to be filled on the results of the examination will be announced later.

SC, ST & BC candidates not belonging to the state of West Bengal shall be treated as General candidates

QUALIFICATION : i) Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from State Council for Engineering and Technical Education, West Bengal or its equivalent(as may be decided by the Commission).

Departmental candidates will also be eligible to apply provided they possess the requisite educational qualifications.

ii) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)-vide Finance deptts. Notification no.1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016.

AGE : Not more than 36 years

FEE : Rs.160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only + (i) for online payment through debit/credit cards; convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five); + GST as applicable on convenience fee, (ii) for online payment through net banking; convenience fee of Rs. 5/-(Rupees five) + GST as applicable on convenience fee, (iii) for offline payment through bank counter; service charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty) only. SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid.

NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO SC/ST/BC CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.
