OPAL Recruitment 2020 : ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) is one of the largest integrated Petrochemical Complexes in south Asia, located in the port town of Dahej, Gujarat.
The mega petrochemical complex is set up with an investment of more than Rs. 30,000/- crores and equipped with world class technology – Dual Feed Cracker and Swing Process. It has an annual capacity of 2.0 million tonnes of wide portfolio of petrochemicals, viz, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, Benzene, Butadiene, Pyrolysis Gasoline, CBFS etc.
Post commissioning in 2017, OPaL has achieved stable run at 100% of its designed capacity. OPaL is now focused on several transformational and strategic initiatives that shall firmly establish the Company as a prominent player in the Petrochemical industry.
Company is looking for competent personnel having proven track record in Petrochemicals or related industry for Technical/Support functions in Executive and Non Executive levels. The Function wise vacancies* are given under:

Desired Qualification & Experience :
Cracker : Bachelor Engineering degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering with hands on experience in petrochemicals/Chemicals/Hydrocarbon Industries, etc. for a large organisation of repute. Experience in DCS operations in Cracker plant will be preferred. Candidate with First class degree in the mentioned qualification and pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up, shutdown experience in the above relevant area will be given preference.
Polymer : Bachelor Engineering degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering or Polymer Technology with hands on experience in petrochemicals/Chemicals/Hydrocarbon Industries, etc. for a large organization of repute. Experience in DCS operations in Polymer plant will be preferred. Candidate with First class degree in the mentioned qualification and pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up, shutdown experience in the above relevant area will be given preference.
HR : 2 Years Full Time degree in MBA (/Or Equivalent PG) with specialization in HR and hands on experience in managing, HR & Admin activities for a large size organization, preferably in Petrochemicals / hydrocarbon industries. Candidate with First class degree in the mentioned qualification and experience in the above relevant area will be given preference
Marketing : Bachelor Engineering degree OR 2 Years Full Time MBA /( Or equivalent PG) with specialization in Marketing/SCM with hands on experience in Sales & Marketing for a large organisation of repute, preferably in petrochemicals or Hydrocarbon Industry. Candidate with First class degree in the mentioned qualification and relevant experience in Petrochemical / Refinery / Chemical / Fertilizer Industries will be given preference.
NON EXECUTIVE
Cracker : Diploma (Govt recognised 3 years course) in Chemical Engineering/Petrochemical Engineering with hands on experience in petrochemicals/Chemicals/Hydrocarbon Industries, etc. for a large organisation of repute. Candidate with First class in the mentioned qualification and pre-commissioning/ commissioning/ start-up, shutdown experience in the above relevant area will be given preference.
Polymer : Diploma (Govt recognised 3 years course) in Chemical Engineering/Petrochemical Engineering/Polymer Technology with hands on experience in petrochemicals/Chemicals/Hydrocarbon Industries, etc. for a large organisation of repute. Candidate with First class in the mentioned qualification and pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up, shutdown experience in the above relevant area will be given preference.
Fire : Intermediate and Govt. recognized diploma Course in Fire/ Fire & safety. Candidates should have a valid driving license for heavy vehicles. Should meet the physical fitness criteria as under: Minimum height – 168 cms (for Hillman/tribes, mini 166 cms) , Chest : (Unexpanded = 81 cms, Expanded = 86 cms) & Standard Physical endurance Test for Fire domain.
Candidate with First Class in the mentioned qualification & relevant experience in Petrochemicals/Refinery/Chemical/Fertiliser industries will be given preference.
Important information :
| 1. | Candidates meeting the desired qualification and experience criteria shall be further shortlisted for interview on the pre-determined ratio considering relevancy of the experience, past value addition, proven track record, etc,. The relevancy of experience in petrochemical/refinery/fertilisers/hydrocarbon sector shall be given preference. |
| 2. | The guidelines for the published qualifications are as under : |
| 2.1 | Only full time regular courses will be considered including graduation, post-graduation, 10th and 12th etc., except professional courses like, CA, ICWA, CS, AMIE. |
| 2.2 | The qualification(s) must be from UGC recognized Indian university/UGC recognized Indian Deemed University or AICTE approved courses from Autonomous Indian Institutions/concerned statutory council (wherever applicable). |
| 2.3 | Wherever MBA has been mentioned as requirement, it means 2 years full time MBA. Apart from MBA, Two years Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialization in relevant field / MMS with specialization in relevant field shall also be considered. |
| 2.4. | MBA/PG Diploma in Management/ MMS qualifications where there is a mention of Dual Specialization, one of the specializations necessarily needs to be function specific for which the post has been advertised. |
| 2.5 | Engineering Degree can be B.E./B. Tech./ B. Sc. Engg. |
| 2.6 | In case degree acquired abroad, the equivalent Indian qualifications will be as recognized by UGC/Association of Indian Universities. |
| 3. | Minimum prescribed Post Qualification experience for all positions shall be reckoned as on closing date of receiving the application (i.e 25/02/2020). |
| 4. | The total post qualification experience shall be reckoned from the first job up to closing date of application. (i.e 25/02/2020). |
| 5. | The upper age limit for the said position shall apply as mentioned in the advertisement as on closing date of application (i.e 25/02/2020) |
| 6. | The intimation for interview shall be sent (through e-mail) to shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates shall be interviewed by the selection board. |
| 7. | The selection for appointment of candidates would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates / testimonials and Pre-employment medical fitness. The first class degree requirement in eligibility criteria shall be reckoned as per norms of the respective University/Institute. |
